Clams caught our attention with his beat for Lil B’s, I’m God, a track sampling Imogen Heap that sees power and melancholy collide in a beautifully euphoric manner. This fusion became a blueprint for the year’s two releases: The Rainforest EP and his Instrumental Mix Tape, released on Tri-Angle Records (a label that has also given us Balam Acab and o0o00 this year) demonstrates the beginning of a seriously talented new producer.
