There was one artist that was on damn-near every single presenter and producer’s list when we asked for their top artists: Friends. From the first raw drum hit, the effortless cool of Samantha Urbani’s R&B vocal and the shimmering synth of Friend Crush, we were hooked.
They followed it up with the biggest single of the year, I’m His Girl. With that dirty bass line and un-manufactured sex appeal that emanates from the entire song. Keeping hipsters salivating while teasing mainstream audiences with its familiar R&B infused sounds.
The band look set to release Friend Crush in February and hit the UK for a short tour touching Manchester and London.
