Indie’s new marmite band, Spector have been wowing/irritating (delete as appropriate) audiences throughout 2011 including a slot at Leeds and Reading festivals and a TV appearance on Jools Holland.
Spector formed in Dalston as the brainchild of Tom Vek’s less-emaculate twin (he’s not really), Fred Macpherson. Channeling a New Romantics vibe and packing songs full of pop hooks, the band have released three singles on Luv Luv Luv this year and look set to release a debut album in early 2012.
You’ll be hearing a whole lot from them in the coming year and you can expect to see the charismatic frontman in front of thousands on festival stages across the UK in the summer.
