Spreading the word

Aleksandrs Ivanovs, who composes some crucial electronica as Gastronom (you’ll have heard him introducing Luse your Muse on the radio) also comes up with some fab ideas to spread the word about Amazing Radio.

Here’s my favourite so far:

Today I was at a digital store and just tuned all DAB stations on Amazing Radio :D :D :D It was fun …

Mmm – how cool would it be to do a stunt – kind of a virtual Flashmob – where we tune every DAB radio in every store in the UK  to Amazing Radio.

As Aleksandrs says,  :D

Do I need a PRS license to play Amazing Radio at work? Does it make a difference that they are unsigned artists and would not, I suspect get any of the cash from PRS? Obviously the bands would get some more exposure to people who may not own a digital radio.

Hi Gavin. Great question. Short answer: no. You don’t need a PR licence to play Amazing Radio at work. The bands own their music and they license us to broadcast it for promotional purposes. The more people can get to hear their music – so hopefully then buy it – the better. Enjoy! PC

Wow! I like, I like. I just hope that this radio station will not discriminate against Christian musicians. I believe that our music is as good as secular music but we get discriminated against because of the content of our songs. I do hope that Amazing Radio will give all the different genres of Contemporary Christian Music the same opportunities that all genres of secular music has!

Hi Clifford, we only discriminate against rubbish (or stuff that breaks the law). If it’s good, and the audience likes it, it’s on. Over to you! PC
