Amazing Radio is offering voluntary work experience placements at our studios on Tyneside. The placements last 4 weeks and are unpaid.

In return for your time, commitment, imagination and enthusiasm, you’ll be rewarded with what we believe is the most hands-on work placement in radio. You won’t just have a place on your CV, you’ll have achievements.

Our positions are focused on radio production duties, not making the tea. You’ll learn from our staff and get opportunities to test your skills. We’re looking for people who are serious about radio, want to learn and most importantly want to get involved with what amazing does.

You’ll be 18 or over, ideally studying a media related course and will already have experience of editing audio. The best candidates will also have a thirst for new music and might already be involved in student radio, podcasting or broadcasting online.

Competition for places will be tough so here’s a tip; most people will apply for summer placements. We’d like to be able to give people experience all year round. Regardless of the season, interns will receive the North East’s notoriously warm welcome (we don’t wear coats, ever).
